A production schedule can change faster than a housing agreement. Organize crew accommodation by confirmed occupancy dates and approval status so a tentative assignment does not become an accidental booking.
Build a housing schedule alongside the call schedule
Use internal references for each required home, arrival window, departure window and bedroom configuration. Keep confirmed dates separate from possible extensions. Do not post crew names, detailed work schedules or accommodation addresses on a public request board.
Count the homes needed at the peak of simultaneous occupancy. Total crew headcount is a different figure. Check whether proposed shared accommodation is acceptable to the occupants and permitted by the provider’s actual terms.
Describe the practical use
Ask about parking, late arrivals, laundry, cooking equipment and internet. If work hours change, discuss sleep needs and the exact unit setting. Accommodation should not be assumed to permit filming, equipment storage beyond ordinary use or commercial activity. Ask the owner through the appropriate process if any unusual use is proposed.
Confirm the route to the relevant production location using current information. A home near one shooting location may be unsuitable when the schedule moves elsewhere; identify which destination matters during the booked period.
Control changes through one channel
Nominate a housing coordinator and backup. State who can authorize extra homes, different dates or additional charges. Crew members can report needs without being given open-ended booking authority.
Keep provider quotes tied to a schedule version. When dates change, record which offers require reconfirmation rather than assuming the original availability survives.
Before arrival, distribute the approved key-collection instructions privately to the right occupants. Before departure, reconcile inventory, cleaning and key return. These ordinary records are what keep a fast-moving accommodation plan usable. A corporate-housing directory supplies research leads; the actual homes and terms must be confirmed with their operators or providers.
