A directory can include a real property without having a commercial relationship with it. A claimed profile can identify an authorized contact without proving every public field has been freshly checked. Use status labels for the work they actually represent.
Describe the event behind the label
“Listed” means the record has been included under the directory’s publication rules. “Claimed” should relate to a reviewed connection with an owner or operator. “Verified” needs a stated scope and evidence. “Partner” describes an actual agreed relationship, not simply a company that has been researched.
These categories can coexist, but one should not automatically imply the others. A company listed from public sources should not appear as a MIMO partner logo merely because its website was accessible.
Make verification specific
Ask what was checked: identity, website, address, contact channel or another field. Include the review date and any limitation. A working website does not establish current rents or a vacant unit. A recent import does not necessarily constitute a fresh source review.
Avoid a single badge that readers could interpret as a guarantee of all property conditions. Where verification has not occurred, retain the source and the uncertainty instead of designing a stronger-looking label.
Keep commercial relationships documented
Partner status should follow an actual agreement or established working relationship under the platform’s rules. Featured placement, where offered, should remain distinguishable from editorial selection and verification.
For operators, submit accurate updates through the claim or listing process and ask what further review is required. For directory teams, keep internal sales stages separate from public status. A potential lead is not a partner.
The useful question for any label is: what evidence or completed action would support it? If that answer is unclear, a plain description is better. Clear boundaries help readers understand the record and prevent a routine database entry from being interpreted as an endorsement or guarantee.
